"The Enamor Triptych Collection is taking from the vibes walking the streets of L.A., New York, and Miami Beach. Each of these cities have their own mix of emotions, sensations, colors, and cultures. I have tried to capture the primal soul and essence of each city through my personal sense of beauty. The Enamor Triptych Collection is both a tonal and sensorial depiction of each city, encapsulated in a luxury case, each one composed with the 3 major design elements defining that city. More than a fashion statement, each Triptych case is love struck by its city, and a piece of art on its own. La Fab Paris manufactures these exquisite and delicate fashionista accessories in its ultra modern facility in the 18th district of Paris, with the finest fabrics and materials that I have used for French luxury brands. We keep our obsessive focus on quality and perfect the traditional heritage of French luxury leather craftsmanship with modern technology."
Miami Beach is still recovering from the Spring break teenager invasion 2 weeks ago, and is showing its best profile. The pure and soft breeze from the ocean and the pleasant 80°F weather bring the locals to the beach. Somehow, Ocean Drive is uncharacteristically fluid, and the late afternoon is full of promises of this unique pink rose color in the sky spreading across the horizon over the sandy shores. Back to Lincoln Road, a crowd of tourists slowly moves in front of store windows, while the rest of the city dresses up for its nightlife calling. Later, restaurant terraces start to fill up, to the sound of Samba beats and lounge music. The evening light pushes into the wine and Mojito glasses ever changing reflections, while women’s long gowns shine and glitter in a fantasia of golden shades and the band starts playing by the pool. The air is cooling slowly, and in this newly found freshness, Cuba’s accents give Miami its fabulous exotic spin.
For the Miami Fab Triptych case, I have brought side by side in harmony, the Florida shade of evening sky in a frosty rose color with a peach skin touch, the glamorous and glittering women’s evening dress style in Saffiano rose gold faux fabric, dancing over the sand’s golden color before dusk with its Cote de Provence typical color.
Madison Avenue is the backbone of executive New Yorkers. It is the symbol of the busy and speedy Manhattan of the turn of the century. Obsessed with the optic of what they do rather than by its true nature, the finest marketing minds of America have been trading places between the largest advertising agencies by crossing the street or moving up a couple of blocks. Like its traffic going in one direction, there seems to be only one way for the “Mad men”. In this white collar universe where career is paramount, life at street level is adapted to this peculiar always-busy executive style, and appealing flagship store windows try to lure the rushing pedestrians in. It takes some discernment to notice signs of individualism underneath this army of black business suits.
Madison case for the Triptych Collection captures the busy executive lifestyle. Charcoal Saffiano, black peach skin touch, and dark bottom lining are combined in this classic but exclusive interpretation of modern business life.
Here lays the opulence of the very affluent who dare putting their wealth on display. European supercars come in the most flashy colors, to only portrait their owners holding an entire garage full of them. The concentration of jewelry, art galleries and luxury brand stores on Rodeo drive and Canon Drive, the impeccable streets ornamented with perfectly cut lawns at the foot of perfectly manicured palm trees, the calm and resting atmosphere, all contribute to the estranged feeling of a bubble world for the happy few, a perfect place. North of Beverly Gardens Park, Rodeo Drive slowly takes curves left then right, with magnificent trees on both sides, casting a welcoming shadow on the sidewalks for the pedestrians. When the daylight gives way to the evening illuminations, the streets of Beverly Hills take on a soft shade of different ambiance colors, from golden yellow and purple rose skies. Somewhere in the distant, a crowd of photographers flashlights are trying to capture the smile of a Hollywood celebrity trying to have a private diner, while the rest of BH stays perfectly still.
My Triptych case is inspired by the concentration of exclusive elements in Beverly Hills. A luxurious golden textured Saffiano streak is encased between a frosty rose silk touch surface and a reminiscence of the Cedar trees found in the Park.
The yellow cab is stuck on the Brooklyn bridge. It is raining but the city can’t stop on that poesy. My driver recounts his first time in New York, one immigrant story crossing the lives of millions of others. We finally reach Manhattan. Everywhere I look, pedestrians crossing the streets, rushing out of the subway stations, eating at the food carts, they are all wearing black color. UV-tanned commodity traders wearing their fragrance rubbing shoulders with drunk, unshaved and stinky homeless, the streets are saturated with the sounds of thousands of conversations in Hebrew, Spanish, Russian and Italian over the noise of fast moving siren horns. The verticality of Midtown here is oppressive for out of towners. New Yorkers just ignore what is above street level out of habit. The city-world has lost its pre 9/11 candeur. Encased in high rises, Central Park still feels a harbor of peace. Everywhere I walk, from Grand Central to Tribeca, the spirit has subtly changed from its original rash and pioneer attitude to this new conscience of self-preservation, in a place of thousand different cultures that are proud, more unified than ever and more worried about their future. New York is reinventing itself.
To illustrate this subtle drift in mood, the New York Triptych Collection case features 2 slightly different dark fabrics, a Saffiano charcoal and soft skin noir Nadir, that also display differences in textures and treatment, encasing in the middle an element reminiscent of Central Park, the hazelnut tree, that gives the case its balance and classy contrast.
